We aspire to be a theatre that is creative, innovative, regionally and nationally distinctive, presenting live and film performance of the highest quality to audiences that value the Roses experience. We reach out to our local and regional communities with arts participation and education that is fulfilling and life enhancing.
The Roses theatre is situated in the charming market town of Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire and offers audiences the opportunity to experience an exciting range of live shows and film screenings.
The 370 seat auditorium is home to a diverse range of shows – from big name comedy, gripping drama, innovative dance, stunning opera, authentic tribute bands and so much more in between!
The theatre’s impressive film programme features an engaging mix of art-house films which jostle for space alongside the current blockbusters and Oscar winners. The Roses is also the best place in Gloucestershire to experience the wonderful live screenings from the National Theatre and the Met Opera.
The cosy theatre bar hosts live acoustic music, comedy nights and ‘film forum’ evenings in addition to providing a relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy pre-show and interval drinks.
One of the highlights of the year has to be the theatre’s enduringly popular, traditional family pantomime – a wonderful production filled with magic and mayhem, and a guaranteed delight for all ages!
